Wrigleyville Engagement Session | Corrie + Max

Corrie and Max’s winter Wrigleyville engagement session was everything they wanted out of an engagement session.  Cozy winter vibes, a little bit of snow, and a reference to the Chicago cubs, who they are HUGE fans of!

Back to Chicago

Corrie and Max were a referral from one of my previous clients.  I LOVE when my couples send their friends their way because the second we hop on a call together we already feel like instant friends.  Corrie and Max spent a lot of their early years in their relationship in Chicago before moving out of state so they knew that they wanted to incorporate the city into their session. Between their love for the city and the Chicago Cubs Wrigleyville just made perfect sense as the setting for their engagement session. I love winter photos, between the vibes, the clothes and just the more open Chicago  streets, there’s just SO much to love.

Winter Engagement Session in Wrigleyville

We started off their engagement session by meeting in Wrigleyville to take photos around Wrigley Field.  I LOVE the way the red of Wrigley Field pops in the winter when it’s surrounded by snow.  We wandered around the field and main streets, having the best time with one another.  My cardinals loving self was dying a bit on the inside, but I was able to push aside my biases for Corrie and Max!

Off to Michigan Ave

After our photos in Wrigleyville, we snagged an Uber and headed over to Michigan Avenue to finish up the rest of our engagement session.  Michigan Avenue is home to so much iconic architecture, you can just look at photos taken in that area and feel that the photos were taken in Chicago even if you’ve never been.  Staying in theme with the cubs we stopped by the Wrigley building and started our photos there before walking along the river.  Taking photos in the winter around sunset, there are much less people around so we were really able to have an intimate feel for the session while still being in one of the largest cities in the US.  The blue hour vibes with the light of the streetlights and holiday lights really made the end of the session special.

I had such an amazing time with Corrie and Max adventuring through Chicago. Wrigleyville and Michigan Ave both have such a magical feeling to them in the winter and we truly ended up with the perfect engagement session.
