If you follow my Instagram you may remember when I was on the news during a blizzard this past December, which I may or may not still be riding the high from. Well the real reason I was out on the Michigan Avenue bridge in the middle of a freaking blizzard was to photograph a surprise proposal between these two lovely people! Sam and Tucker’s proposal was so sweet and so much fun, even with the insane snowfall!

Their Surprise Proposal on the Michigan Avenue Bridge

Tucker had reached out to me a few weeks prior to the proposal and I was so excited to be a part of it. He planned to propose to Sam on the anniversary of when they started dating, but with life being as unpredictable as it is we ended up having the proposal the day after. We decided on having their surprise proposal on the Michigan Avenue Bridge due to its incredible and jaw dropping city views. Little did we know that there would be a full on BLIZZARD when it came time for the proposal! That didn’t stop us though and it honestly worked out incredibly well as the snow made for such an epic scene for their proposal. Needless to say Sam was completely caught off guard and said yes. Both her and Tucker were beaming with joy afterward, their expressions really say it all!

Portraits in the Blizzard

After the proposal, we decided to take some portraits in the blizzard which was SO much fun! Even with the cold and the snow the three of us were all on cloud 9, just having the best of times and non stop smiling from all the excitement. Sam and Tucker frolicked in the snow, danced under a Christmas tree, and were loving on one another on the Michigan Avenue bridge after their surprise proposal. These two are SO freaking cute and we had the best time together photographing their proposal and portraits. We finished off their session with the two of them walking off into the blizzard as a newly engaged and beyond excited couple.

This surprise proposal on the Michigan Avenue bridge is one of my favorites to date! Sam and Tucker are some of the sweetest people I’ve had the chance to photograph and their proposal was equal parts epic and beautiful.
