Max + Marissa’s intimate wedding in Chicago was everything they could have wanted out of a wedding day.  They spent their day surrounded by family and friends celebrating their love for one another at Canal 337, and the day could not have been more perfect!

Their Intimate Chicago Wedding Day

Though Max and Marissa’s wedding day was on the larger side when it comes to intimate weddings, they somehow still made every moment of their day feel intimate and personal.  They both have quieter personalities but are so vibrant and loving around each other, so giving their wedding day that personal feel was so important. They filled their wedding day with beautiful details and intimate moments with their loved ones.  One of my favorite details from their intimate Chicago wedding day was the newspaper articles written BY Max (he’s a journalist) that were wrapped around their flowers.  Small details like this make wedding days SO special, and I love that these two were able to incorporate them into their wedding day!

Wedding Portraits and Moment Together

For Max and Marissa’s wedding day, one of their biggest priorities was spending time with one another, so we were actually able to set aside time in a couple parts of their day so they could take a handful of wedding portraits and catch their breath with one another.  We started their wedding day with a first look, and then took portraits after wedding party photos.  Then one of my favorite parts of their night was when I stole them away to explore and take a couple of portraits at their beautiful and intimate Chicago wedding venue.  Filled with bricks, and unique furniture, there were so many cool places to explore while taking a couple of flash portraits.

Max and Marissa’s Chicago wedding day was intimate, focused on them, and filled with all the people most important to them which made their day an incredible celebration through and through!
