DIY Wedding at Barrington’s White House | Felisha and Eric

For Felisha and Eric’s wedding day at Barrington’s White House the two wanted to keep things simple and true to the moment. Their wedding day was mostly DIY which gave them a ton of control of all aspects of their day. The focus of the day was on their marriage and the love they share for each other, which is exactly how they wanted it!

Getting Ready for Their Wedding Day

For their wedding day, Felisha and Eric wanted it to be captured in a true documentary style which I LOVE. Being able to look back at your wedding album and relive your day as it truly happened is something I strive for as a wedding photographer, and it’s something we were able to do here! Felisha and Eric’s day started with the two of them getting ready separately at their venue, Barrington’s White House which is in the Chicago suburbs. Once ready they saw one another for the first time, and Eric was beaming with joy! They gave each other a huge hug before signing their wedding paperwork prior to their ceremony. This lets them focus on enjoying the rest of their day to the fullest.

A Ceremony and Reception at Barrington’s White House

Felisha and Eric’s wedding day was for the most part a DIY wedding, so we kept the decorations for their ceremony and reception space simple yet tasteful. Barrington’s White House is a wonderful wedding venue for a ton of reasons, one of them being that it’s naturally elegant while not being overbearing. It makes for the perfect all-in-one space for an entire wedding day! Felisha and Eric were walked down the aisle by their parents and had their ceremony surrounded by their closest friends and family. Having everyone there to support and celebrate their love with them meant the world to both Felisha and Eric. Shortly after their ceremony was their reception which was a total riot and the perfect mix of party and tradition!

Documenting Felisha and Eric’s wedding day at Barrington’s White House was such a fun and rewarding experience. I love these two and capturing their day with all of its beautiful and natural moments as they happened. I’m SO happy with how their album turned out!
