Dreamy Engagement Session at Navy Pier in Chicago | Jessie and Dalton

Jessie and Dalton’s engagement session at Chicago’s iconic Navy Pier was a sunset lover’s DREAM! We had the most gorgeous lighting throughout their session, which was only outshined by the pure love and joy these two share in their relationship. Jessie and Dalton are seriously one of the sweetest and most joyous couples I’ve worked with and I can’t wait to show you some highlights from their session!

Sunset Engagement Session

Jessie, Dalton, and I had so much fun together throughout their engagement session at Navy Pier in Chicago! Being able to relax and be yourself in front of the camera is something that can take couples a bit to figure out, but these two were naturals! From the moment we met up at Navy Pier, they were laughing and smiling non stop all while having THE best time together. Their joy is seriously infectious and made taking their engagement photos a total breeze throughout the session.

Navy Pier ended up being the perfect location for their engagement session as there are so many different and unique photo opportunities we were able to take advantage of. From views of Lake Michigan and the Chicago skyline to the carousel, and even a ride on the iconic Ferris wheel we were able to enjoy and use SO many different backdrops for their engagement session. This led to their photos and the session itself having a ton of variety which I cannot get over!

Navy Pier for Engagement Photos

As I mentioned above with Jessie and Dalton’s engagement session at Navy Pier, the sheer variety the space offers makes it an incredible Chicago location for engagement photos. It’s incredible when you can find a location that has multiple different areas with their own distinct feel that you can use as backdrops for a session. Navy Pier excels in this area and gets rid of the hassle of traveling to multiple different locations throughout downtown Chicago which is a HUGE plus! 

One crucial thing to note is that Navy Pier is one of the most popular locations in the city, so having your session there means you will have to prepare for some onlookers. This is by no means a deal breaker though! With Jessie and Dalton’s session, we were consistently around other people and still able to make it work. With my expertise as a Chicago photographer, I know the ins and outs of working with the crowds and how to maximize our time so that we get as many stellar photos as possible with just YOU in them!
