Traditional Wedding at The Atrium in Milwaukee | Jen and Alex

Jen and Alex had been together for years, so it’s safe to say that their wedding day at The Atrium in Milwaukee was a LONG time coming! Though the two live in the Pacific Northwest now, they both grew up in the same Milwaukee neighborhood, so they decided on The Atrium as their wedding venue to be closer to their friends and family for their day. Funny enough these two practically grew up together, but wouldn’t really cross paths until they officially met at Purdue. Their love has been flourishing ever since, so finally getting to tie the knot back in their hometown with their loved ones meant the world to these two!

Getting Ready for Their Day

To start their wedding day off, both Jen and Alex got ready separately with the help of their wedding party members. With no first look scheduled into their day the excitement of these two was through the ROOF leading up to their ceremony! There was no shortage of smiles leading up to their ceremony, as both Jen and Alex have an incredible crew of friends who made the start of their day SO much fun. We had a little bit of time for some separate wedding party photos before it was time to head into The Atrium in Milwaukee for their ceremony.

The Atrium in Milwaukee has been open since 2016, and is one of the most gorgeous and stunning wedding venues in the city. Their indoor ceremony space is immaculate, and was the perfect setting for Jen and Alex’s day! The mixture of natural light from above and the warm interior lights of The Atrium set the mood for Jen and Alex’s heartfelt ceremony. Seeing the joy from not only these two, but everyone in attendance as they said their “I Do’s” just proves how perfect it was that these two were finally getting married! After their ceremony was over we made our way out to the streets of Milwaukee for some couples portraits and wedding party portraits before it was time to get the party started!

Time to Party!

Not only does The Atrium in Milwaukee have an incredible indoor space for wedding ceremonies and receptions, they also have their rooftop garden and greenhouse spaces which are perfect for cocktail hour! Once the indoor space had been swapped for their reception we made our way indoors to get the festivities underway. After some delicious food, as well as some HILARIOUS speeches, it was time to open up the dance floor!

Now for anyone that knows me and knows my wedding photography style, you know that I am ALL about capturing the dance floor on a wedding day. I can say with certainty that Jen and Alex’s dance floor was one of the most packed and energetic celebrations I’ve photographed so far! Both Jen and Alex are Jewish, so their day was full of many wedding traditions, including my favorite the Hora! It was amazing being a part of this celebration and capturing the joy of everyone celebrating with Jen and Alex!!

I’m honestly still OBSESSING over Jen and Alex’s wedding day at The Atrium in Milwaukee! Their day was one of pure happiness and celebration, and I’m so glad they chose me to capture these memories and moments from their day.
