I wanted to give you all an inside look at what my client experience looks like, how I make my clients weddings special to them, and what to look for when choosing your own wedding photographer. As someone who has been in the industry for years now and has photographed SO many Chicago weddings, I can safely say that these weddings are a completely different breed compared to any other type of wedding! Knowing your wedding day is more than just a photo shoot is the reason why I work with my clients through every step of planning their wedding!  You want a wedding photographer who not only knows how to plan a Chicago wedding, but knows how to support YOU as you plan YOUR Chicago wedding.  My process starts with me getting to know my wedding clients from day one.  Your vision for your wedding day, as well as you and your partner’s personalities are huge factors in how a wedding day should be documented. Both of these things are top priorities for me when getting to know you in order to provide the wedding day experience you’ve been dreaming of. From the moment you book with me, all the way through when your wedding album is delivered, I’ll be working closely with you to make those dreams a reality!

Caring About You

As a wedding photographer in Chicago I try to make it abundantly clear that my clients are my TOP priority. I’m in this industry because I care about you, I care about the vision you have for your wedding day, and I want to do everything in my power to make your vision a reality with as little stress involved as possible! I see my clients for the beautiful, unique, and loving people they are, not as a date on a calendar. A wedding is a one of a kind experience, it’s a celebration between two people and those they care for the most. For these reasons, and SO many more, my goal as a wedding photographer has always been to do everything I can to make sure my couples get to fully experience this one of a kind day!

Reading the Room

Something I have become exceptionally good at throughout my years of photographing weddings is reading the room. Yes my job as your photographer is to capture your wedding day and all the best moments that make it special, but there’s more to it than just pressing a button on my camera! My talent of reading a room has helped me capture some of MY favorite moments as a Chicago wedding photographer. It’s being able to acknowledge what each moment feels like, and being able to match that energy to elevate that experience.

This can look like a multitude of things. Whether it’s a quiet moment where we sneak out for sunset portraits and I let you two have a moment one on one to really take in ALL these emotions you’re feeling. Or, my specialty, of getting out and on the dance floor and hyping you and your people up to celebrate this incredible day you’ve put together to celebrate your love! Reading the room is about letting the quiet moments be just that, and feeding into the party energy to really bring out those celebratory emotions!

Timeline Creation

A wedding day timeline can make or break a wedding day, which is why I take a hands-on approach to timeline creation with my wedding clients. Together we go over your priorities, the most important events and people on your wedding day, and then we reverse engineer our timeline around those. As we are creating your timeline, I also have your photo goals in mind.  Knowing that this is more than likely your first wedding you’ve planned, you also more than likely won’t know how much time you want for your first look, or for wedding party photos.  This is why you hired me!  I take the reins and guide you through creating a timeline that works with your goals in mind.
