Taking Meg and Raj’s Engagement Photos in Grant Park

I bet you actually thought this blog was actually a transcript from Gossip Girl, but surprise it’s actually just me Jayde! I had to bust out the impression though as these Gossip Girl inspired engagement photos at Grant Park are just fantastic. Working with Meg and Raj was SO much fun, especially since I’ve been photographing their love for over a year now. The chic vibes of their outfits combined with the variety of backdrops in Chicago’s Grant Park made for an iconic session that I’ve been obsessing over for MONTHS now! 

Finding Inspiration for Your Engagement Session

There are a lot of different avenues you can take to pull inspiration for your engagement session. One way of course is to use a show or other form of popular media, like how Meg and Raj’s engagement photos here in Grant Park look like they’re straight up Gossip Girl 2.0 promotional photos. You can also pull inspiration from the location itself! Indoor locations like breweries or record shops give your session a completely different feel than a session at North Avenue Beach would. Thankfully Chicago is brimming with epic locations to choose from for your engagement session!
