Way back in 2022 Natalia and Sam took a chance and booked a photographer from Indiana to document their engagement photos at a brewery in Chicago. This girl of course is yours truly, and unbeknownst to me at the time was just how passionate and beautiful the love between these two was. It became immediately apparent when it was time for their engagement session though, which is why I was SO excited that Natalia and Sam chose me to also document their wedding! The two chose Fairlie Chicago as their wedding venue, and I seriously doubt I could have dreamt up a more perfect wedding day for them. Come with me as I relive their wedding and everything that made it the magical experience that it was!
From the very beginning of Natalia and Sam’s wedding day you could feel just how much the day meant, both to them and their loved ones at their sides. Natalia and Sam each have such strong connections to their friends and family, so having them at their sides while getting ready meant the world to them. After getting ready we met up on the terrace of the Homewood Suites by Hilton for their first look, and WOW was it a special moment for them! Immediately upon seeing one another Natalia and Sam had the biggest smiles and gave each other an even bigger hug.
From there we made our way to the party trolley which would take us to Union Station for some newlywed and wedding party portraits. This stunningly gorgeous building is one of my all time favorites for portraits in Chicago, and these only solidify those feelings further! After couples and wedding party portraits it was time to hop back onto the trolley as we still had their church ceremony and their reception at Fairlie Chicago to enjoy!
Sticking with the theme of breathtakingly gorgeous spaces to host their wedding was Natalia and Sam’s ceremony venue choice, the Madonna della Strada Chapel at Loyola. It’s a remarkably beautiful chapel, made all the more wonderful with Natalia and Sam’s loved ones filling up the pews. As the ceremony began and Natalia made her way down the aisle, I swear there was not a single dry eye in attendance! Natalia and Sam are the type of people who truly and deeply care about those they love, and it’s easy to see that those feelings are mutual. Once their ceremony had ended we had some time for family portraits inside the chapel followed by just a few newlywed and wedding party portraits on the Loyola campus. From there it was back to our trusty trolley as we made our way to the final stop of the wedding day, Fairlie Chicago!
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that I LOVE Fairlie Chicago as a wedding venue, in fact I wrote a whole article about everything that I adore about the space! I was so happy that Natalia and Sam chose Fairlie as their venue, as the space was absolutely perfect for the day. With having a majority of their portraits already done for the day, Natalia and Sam were actually able to join the festivities during cocktail hour as well. They wanted to spend as much time as possible with all of their people, not just their wedding party members which I loved. The reception itself was the perfect mixture of genuine, heartfelt moments, and an all out party in celebration of Natalia and Sam. I had SO much fun dancing the night away alongside these two incredible people and the wonderful friends and family there to celebrate at their sides!
I’m forever grateful to Natalia and Sam taking the chance on me all the way back in 2022! I absolutely adore these two and feel so honored to have been able to document their wedding at Fairlie Chicago!
