Timeless Wedding at CD & ME in Frankfort, Illinois | Alison and Ryan

Alison and Ryan’s wedding at CD & ME was so many things. Timeless, heartfelt, joyful, emotional, but more than anything authentic. These two created the perfect day to celebrate their love the way they wanted to, and I might be just a little bit obsessed! Check out the highlights from their day, and what made CD & ME the ideal venue choice for their celebration.

Getting Ready for Their Wedding and a First Look at CD & ME

Before joining up at CD & ME, Alison and Ryan first spent their mornings getting ready with their closest friends and family. They both have such great connections with their loved ones, so everyone was already having THE best time by the time I arrived to start documenting the day. This energy and excitement as it turns out would carry throughout the entirety of their wedding, as both Alison and Ryan’s wedding party members were a riot the entire day! Once everyone was ready it was time to head to CD & ME for the first look.

This was SUCH a sweet moment for Alison and Ryan. They were both so cute spinning and showing off their wedding attire to one another. Having a first look is a great idea for couples looking to spend more time with their loved ones later in their wedding day as it allows you to take care of portrait photos early. Alison, Ryan, and I would do just that. First up were couples portraits where their adorable pup Moe even made an appearance! Then came wedding party portraits which were also a ton of fun. We had the perfect early fall day for their wedding, so the grounds of CD & ME were looking stunning for these portrait photos. This venue in Frankfort, Illinois is seriously gorgeous, and as we’ll see later that beauty applies to their indoor spaces as well!

A Timeless Outdoor Wedding Ceremony

As we wrapped up the wedding party and couples portraits, it was time for Alison and Ryan’s wedding ceremony to start. The stunning brick patio that looks out over the pristine pond and gardens of CD & ME is where the two chose to have their wedding ceremony, one of 2 outdoor options the venue has available. The setting couldn’t have been better, and neither could the weather we got to enjoy! Everything aligned perfectly for Alison and Ryan, and they both made the most of it. They were so present through every moment of their day, and nowhere was that more the case than their ceremony. After reading their vows, and sharing their first kiss together, these two were officially newlyweds!

Fun Filled Wedding Reception at CD & ME

Following some family portraits on the brick patio, everyone began making their way inside The Mica, one of CD & ME’s superb indoor wedding reception spaces. The Mica is a relatively new space at CD & ME, and features a chic yet industrial setting with tons of space and ample natural lighting. It’s a wonderful reception space, and fit the vision that Alison and Ryan had perfectly. Their night was filled to the brim with good vibes and the best of times with their friends and family! Gut busting toasts, some beautiful first dances, and an absolutely packed dance floor courtesy of The Walk-ins band made this night an unforgettable celebration for these two! We did sneak out earlier in the afternoon for some sunset portraits which was a sweet and romantic moment for these two to really take in all the magic of the day.
