Spring Wedding at the River Room of Burning Bush Brewing in Chicago | Julie and Zach

Spring in Chicago has a tendency to be a little…unpredictable. Sometimes it feels like July , other times it feels like a flashback to February, and then some days are just an endless downpour. Thankfully for Julie and Zach, their spring wedding at the Burning Bush Brewing’s River Room was none of these, and instead an amazing compromise! Their endlessly sunny day was the perfect representation of their light, fun, and airy love for one another, though with some cooler temps so that everyone was comfortable. It really was the best of both worlds, and so fitting for these two amazing people!

The Start of Their Wedding at the River Room

The day began with Julie getting ready in the comfort of the River Room’s private suite, something that instantly makes me love this space as a wedding venue. On-site getting ready spaces are a HUGE plus in my book, and as you can see Julie and her loved ones were loving their time in this wonderful space. Once Julie was ready, it was time to head to the outdoor deck where Zach was currently waiting for their first look. Zach lit up like the sun overhead when he saw Julie for the first time, and it was just SO sweet! We had some time for portrait photos across the river from the venue before guests would begin arriving for the ceremony. 

A Beautiful Outdoor Wedding Ceremony at Burning Bush Brewing

One of the best features of the River Room at Burning Bush Brewing is the outdoor deck that directly attaches to the space. The deck looks out over the north branch of the Chicago River, and on a sunny day like this is a phenomenal space for an outdoor ceremony. With their closest friends and family in attendance, and some delicious beer in hand, Julie and Zach were able to celebrate their marriage with a short, sweet, and simple ceremony! Following a few newlywed and family portraits, everyone made their way inside for a night of good food, better company, and a TON of dancing!

Another element I love about this venue is the River Room itself, which is a phenomenal indoor setting for wedding day festivities. Julie, Zach, and their loved ones made use of the space for their reception, and it was such a dream. Every time I looked at Julie she had THE brightest smile on her face, a feeling that was mutual for everyone in attendance. Following their dinner were their sweet first dances that eventually led to the dance floor being opened. If you know me then you know how much I adore documenting wedding receptions, and Julie and Zach’s was no exception! It was the perfect way to end what was already THE best day for these two!

I had the best time documenting Julie and Zach’s spring wedding at the River Room! Burning Bush Brewing is definitely on my list of recommendations now for anyone looking to have a brewery wedding here in Chicago.
