Taylor and Ross had one of THE most fun traditional summer weddings in Terra Haute Indiana. Their day was full of so much love and joy it made every moment, big or small, feel so special and important. I’ve known Taylor since the summer before my freshman year so being a part of her wedding day was a dream come true and a total blast!
Taylor and Ross had a perfect mixture of wedding traditions with their own personal spin on their wedding day. Every part of their wedding day felt so thought out and seriously felt like them to a T! One of the best parts of my job is the fact that I have the opportunity to get to know my couples prior to their wedding day, by meeting them on their first call with me, meeting them in person at their engagement session, and then all of the planning that goes on in between. So by the time I arrive to their wedding day, we’ve spent so much time together that we are so close I feel like family the second I walk on site.
Our day started with Taylor and her bridesmaids getting ready for the day, drinking champagne together, and having an all-around good time. Taylor and her gals were a RIOT even this early on in the day, so I could tell right away that this was going to be an insanely fun wedding! With Taylor ready in her dress from Bliss Bridal it was time to find Ross and get their Terre Haute summer wedding underway!
Taylor and Ross opted for a first look to start off their traditional summer wedding day together. I LOVE a first look for my couples, there are so many emotions and so much excitement which makes it such a special moment for any wedding day. Ross was so overcome with emotion he couldn’t help but give Taylor a huge hug which was just so sweet. We were able to get some wedding portraits of the two of them before having their wedding parties join us for some group photos. We had the PERFECT summer day in Terre Haute, seriously we couldn’t have asked for better weather for their wedding day.
Taylor and Ross chose the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Terre Haute as their ceremony space for their summer wedding and it was the PERFECT choice for them. The church is absolutely gorgeous and had plenty of space for all of their friends and family to attend. After their ceremony and the two were officially married they rode off in style in their hot red muscle car for some alone time together to soak in their day so far and get some more portraits done before heading to their reception. When they walked out to the car I was seriously FREAKING OUT, I was so excited for them and to make some magic with the car during their couples portraits!
From beginning to end, their wedding was a big midwestern party! They complete each other so perfectly and their family and friends were ready to celebrate them! So after dinner and speeches, Taylor shared a first dance with her parents, Ross shared a first dance with his mom and it was time to LET LOOSE. The dance floor was full, the music was FAB, and her wedding party kept pulling me onto the dance floor to party with them! We danced SO hard celebrating the newlyweds, they seriously couldn’t have asked for a more perfect way to end the night.
Taylor and Ross’s traditional summer wedding day was so personal, so much fun. Between Taylor’s personalized wedding jean jacket, their ceremony getaway car, and the decorations all around their venue, their day was seriously so “them!” After dancing HARD and celebrating the lovely couple I went home feeling like the luckiest person in the world knowing that this is my job!
