Catherine and Alex are such sweet humans and actually found me via a Facebook Group! These two are having their wedding in their home state of South Carolina, but LOVE the windy city and wanted to make sure they had their engagement photos in their city. When my couples want iconic photos in Chicago, Michigan Avenue is one of the first that comes to mind, so it HAD to be one of our stops for their engagement session.
Walking along the Riverwalk in Chicago is always such a dream. Surrounded by unique architecture and the glow of the sun reflecting on the side of the buildings, you really cannot beat it. We mixed some of the iconic views with a couple of little hidden spots that I love to take my couples to during their engagement session. Incorporating them makes for a unique experience for my couples and gives them a secret little spot to look back at fondly. After we got enough photos around the Riverwalk it was time to head over to nearby Michigan Avenue for the rest of their engagement session.
The Tribune tower on Michigan Avenue is one of the most popular locations in Chicago for wedding and engagement photos, and for good reason. Gothic revival architecture creates a beautiful backdrop for so many cool and unique photos. Prior to each of my engagement sessions I make sure to ask my couples what they really want out of their session and Catherine had mentioned she wanted some chic city shots capturing the feel of Chicago. So we ended up crossing Michigan Avenue at a cross work probably two or three times to get the perfect shot. We had SO much fun throughout their entire session and got Catherine and Alex the Windy City vibes they were looking for in their engagement session!
Catherine Alex and I had so much fun exploring the Chicago Riverwalk and Michigan Avenue together for their engagement session. These two are a RIOT to be around and I’m so happy I was able to be a part of this next chapter of their lives together. For more love stories like Catherine and Alex’s head to my blog page here!
