To celebrate Taylor and Ross’s first year of marriage, they scheduled a wedding anniversary photo session with me this past summer which is such a great idea for couples. Their wedding in Terre Haute Indiana was SO much fun, so when they asked me to also document their first anniversary, I was beyond excited!
Wedding anniversary photo sessions are SO special for so many reasons! One of the biggest reasons is that it is such a cool and unique way to celebrate one year of marriage. There are SO many different and unique ways to make your session feel like you when planning your anniversary session. For the Moors anniversary photo shoot, we popped champagne, enjoyed their wedding cake, and even took a few pictures with their precious Australian Shepard. A lot can happen in a year, you both grow and become closer, and your relationship evolves. Capturing you, your relationship, and the changes you’ve both gone through is something I always have loved about anniversary sessions!
For Taylor and Ross’s anniversary photo session, Taylor pulled so many details from their wedding day to incorporate into the shoot. She pulled some of their table centerpieces, her bouquet, and some vases all from their wedding day and laid them out on their property to serve as the backdrop to their session. All of the details made for such a unique experience that really celebrated their wedding day, and helped them to reminisce on so many special moments from their day. She even pulled a few of their favorite photos and framed them to incorporate them into their anniversary photo shoot! Having this contrast of where they were a year ago and where they are now was SO cool and made for a really unique vibe for their session!
Taylor and Ross put together the cutest experience for their wedding anniversary photo session. They gathered some of the favorite parts of their wedding day, and put together a picnic set up while incorporating all of their wedding details. There are SO many other cool ideas you could do that would be perfect for your anniversary shoot such as taking photos back at your venue, exploring somewhere new in your wedding clothes, planning an intimate vow renewal, or exploring a new place together to celebrate. All of these ideas make for a fun experience and in my opinion one of THE best ways to celebrate an anniversary!
I’d love to be a part of your wedding day anniversary photo session, even if I wasn’t your photographer for your wedding! Hearing the story of you and your love for one another makes anniversary session’s just as fun as if I was there for your wedding. If you’d like to book me for an anniversary session of your own head to my contact page and we can start planning it together!
