Just two miles west of Fairlie is the Garfield Park Conservatory which is one of the best places in Chicago for anyone looking to be surrounded by nature for their wedding portraits. There are beautiful outdoor gardens as well as multiple uniquely themed greenhouses. Located within a mile of Fairlie is an event space and antique shop called Salvage One. Fairlie features two onsite private lounges that you can use as dressing rooms as well as a large custom built-in bar. It is also a wheelchair-accessible facility. If you’re looking to get your pup involved in your big day, you’ll be glad to know that Fairlie permits leashed dogs on their premises but only during ceremonies.

Their onsite staff includes a venue manager, security personnel, and a coat check attendant. You will need to hire your own caterers. Fairlie also recommends that you hire a private event manager as they do not provide this service. A huge perk of booking with Fairlie is that they will handle the cleaning before and after your event. What Do You Recommend for Transportation

While Fairlie does have a private lot for parking as mentioned earlier, sometimes it’s just nicer to have someone else handle driving you to your wedding day! Especially if you plan on getting ready for your wedding day at Fairlie at an offsite location you’ll want someone else to be handling the Chicago traffic so you can relax on the way to your wedding. If you have a larger wedding party or plan to travel with family, I highly recommend hiring a trolley or limo company to transport you throughout your day!
