Sarah and Jacob booked me for their elopement at Chicago’s City Hall, and the two had just one request: Document us as we are. Done and DONE! There is nothing I love more than documenting my couples in a way that feels true and authentic to the wedding or elopement experience they had! Sarah and Jacob’s elopement was definitely a special one that I am SO glad to have been a part of. Come with me as I relive one of the most romantic elopements I’ve photographed in Chicago to date!
I met up with Sarah and Jacob immediately after their elopement ceremony at Chicago’s City Hall. The two were BEAMING with joy, and just so excited to officially be starting this new chapter of their relationship together! We headed straight for Chicago’s Board of Trade building for some newlywed portraits, and a moment alone where the two could read their private vows to one another. Documenting this moment of their day was magical as you can practically feel the happiness radiating from these two in their photos! After a bit of time walking around and photographing these two having the best time together it was time to hop on the party bus to head to their next location!
Alongside portraits outside of City Hall and the Board of Trade Building, Sarah and Jacob had some other locations they wanted to incorporate into their elopement celebrations. The first was the fabulous Parlor Pizza in Wicker Park where these two had their first date! It was such a sweet and romantic trip down memory lane for them, and a great way to add a bit of a personal touch to their photos. From there we made our way to the iconic Cultural Center for the final stop of the day. Here we had the pleasure of using the Cultural Center’s breathtaking interior for family portraits, and everyone was just SO happy to be celebrating alongside Sarah and Jacob. It was a beautiful way to end an already fantastic elopement in the Windy City!
I’m in LOVE with Sarah and Jacob’s City Hall elopement in Chicago! From the incredible locations, some of which are on my list of favorites in the city, to how they were able to include their family members into their day, it all just felt so perfect! I’m so glad the two chose me to document their day and their love!
