Courtney and Dan’s Indiana beach engagement session at Indiana Dunes State Park was seriously one of the most fun and romantic engagement sessions I’ve been a part of.  Courtney found me on Instagram and actually inquired with me before they even announced they were engaged!  This is happening more and more often and honestly, I LOVE it because it gives couples so many more options and freedom when it comes to booking their wedding photographers. 

Planning their Engagement Session at the Indiana Dunes

For their engagement session, they wanted a low key feel to it.  Initially they were thinking of having their session at a smaller park or suburban location, and then I suggested the Indiana Dunes for their engagement session and they were ALL about it.  I LOVE the Indiana Dunes for engagement sessions because of its laid-back vibe and ALL the space to love on one another with the intimacy the beach provides.  So we met at the Indiana Dunes and made some magic happen!

Their Outfits

Not gonna lie, I was sweating a bit as their session approached.  The weather forecast was calling for rain and honestly, the sky kind of looked like it could come down at any moment, but the rain held off and I am SO glad it did.  The overcast day made their session just a touch cooler, perfect for their two engagement session outfits.  Their first outfit was on the dressier side, but still had a beachy feel to it.  Courtney’s loose black dress was so much fun to play with and move around in, and just brought the best vibes for their session.  Then for their second outfit, they decided to rock a more casual look with some sweatshirts and denim.  Both outfits had such a beachy feel, and I LOVE that they were able to choose two outfits that felt like them.  

After their Indiana Dunes engagement session, I sent over their album and literally cried when I saw that Courtney had left me a review before I even photographed their wedding!  I am so in love with these two and I cannot wait to be a part of their wedding day!
