Though these days many wedding venues throughout Chicago do have getting ready spaces for both wedding parties, there are still some that unfortunately do not.  Getting ready in close proximity to your partner, as well as your family and friends not only gives you a more relaxing wedding day, but it also can simplify your wedding day timeline exponentially.  That’s why I’ve put together a list of some of the best Airbnb’s in Chicago that can be used as getting-ready spaces and overnight stays for you and your partner to get ready with your wedding parties!

Using Airbnb’s, VRBO’s and other alternative venues for wedding festivities has grown in popularity in recent years.  Though for events like getting ready for your wedding, things are fairly simple, it is still important to keep these things in mind when planning out your Chicago wedding day.

Following the Rules

When planning to get ready at an Airbnb close to your venue, it is important to scroll down to the bottom of the listing and go over each and every rule that is listed there.  There you will find how many people are permitted on the property at once, if there are any limitations such as quiet hours, and how you’re allowed to use the space. Be sure to follow the rules specific to the Airbnb that you use as each has their own different rules and requirements.

Communicating Before Booking

Even if you are staying within the number of people permitted on the property, you might still want to check with the Airbnb host to be sure it is okay that you are getting ready on the property.  Some Airbnb’s have rules and regulations on photography and other types of vendors on their properties so you will want to respect that.  In addition, if you have people passing through that won’t be spending the night you will want to let them know.

This two floor Penthouse suite in Chicago’s West Loop is a perfect getting ready space for couples who want to sleep together the night before their wedding but not see each other while getting ready.  With 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths there is a good amount of space for both wedding parties to be present while getting ready. The Airbnb is located in West Loop which means there is so much nearby when it comes to food and locations for photos. This super unique Chicago penthouse is a great and unique location for your getting ready space. The colorful penthouse has SO much charm and character to it!
