Holy shi*, so first of all, Lauren and Andy’s wedding at The Indiana Roof Ballroom was seriously one of the coolest weddings I have been a part of. Lauren and Andy got in touch with me through their wedding planner, Chloe from Creating Joyful Moments Events. We set up a meeting, chatted over zoom and instantly clicked. Andy and Lauren are super chill and laid back couple, but man, they went hard for their wedding day!
Lauren and Andy’s wedding day was the perfect mix of a sort of roaring twenties and Gatsby fairytale romance. Their wedding morning started off at the Embassy suites hotel in downtown Indy with conjoined pent house suites. This made things SO much fun for getting ready as everyone was in one central location. The whole morning was super relaxed, filled with mimosas and quality time. When I arrived I took a little time to get the lay of the land and then I started documenting everyone’s details. Lauren and Andy LOVE Disney, so when laying out their details we incorporated a few small details such as a Mickey Mouse pin, and a subtle hint to Disney royalty with Lauren’s tiara. Along with the nod to Disney, the tiara was also a family heirloom that had been worn by multiple brides in Laurens family during their wedding days.
After the wedding party was ready and Lauren and Andy put on their finishing touches, Lauren had a first look with her bridesmaids before meeting Andy for a first look in front of the Indiana Roof Ballroom. To get to her first look Lauren rode in a 56 Rolls Royce which was SO much fun. After their first look we took some time to take portraits with the car and have some fun outside the gorgeous hotel.
We stopped at one more location together before heading to the Indiana State House for their wedding ceremony. The Indiana State House was the PERFECT venue for their luxurious Gatsby vibe day. Lauren wearing her tiara, she literally looked like a queen while her and Andy walked around the state house taking wedding portraits before their ceremony. Their sweet wedding ceremony that took place at the Indiana State House was officiated by one of Laurens former law professors which was so fun and sweet.
After their beautiful wedding ceremony we headed up to the Indiana Roof Ballroom for cocktail hour and then the Indiana Repertory Theater for reception. The ballroom and theater were THE perfect choice for their Gatsby style luxurious wedding. It felt like something straight out of a movie and was such an incredible experience getting to celebrate Lauren and Andy’s love exactly the way they wanted!
I literally can’t stop thinking about Lauren and Andy’s wedding at The Indiana Roof Ballroom. This wedding day had so much effort and care put into it and ended up being the perfect wedding for the newly weds!
