When it comes to having your wedding on New Years Eve there are basically two routes you can take, the Christmas / winter wonderland vibe, or the glammed out NYE vibe. Emma and Jake’s NYE wedding at the Arrowhead Golf Club is THE blueprint when it comes to glam wedding inspiration! Their day was a true celebration from start to end and I cannot WAIT to show you all some of the highlights from their NYE wedding!
While Jake got ready at a nearby hotel, Emma got ready in the comfort of her family home, each of them in the company of their closest friends and family. Emma and her wedding party kicked things off with a bit of sparkle, glam, and a dash of star power courtesy of (cardboard cutout) Drake! Once ready it was time for Emma’s first looks, first with her father and then with Jake. Both of these sweet and emotional moments perfectly showcase the love that Emma and Jake’s wedding day was built around.
Once everyone was ready, and the first looks were done, it was time to head to the nearby Danada House in Wheaton for portrait photos. Having a first as part of their wedding day let Emma and Jake get a majority of their wedding portraits done early in their day. This is something I recommend for a lot of couples, but if you’re not sure if it’s right for you be sure to check out my timeline guide that covers this more in depth! After wedding party portraits and newlywed portraits were done we all hopped back onto the party shuttle for the quick drive over to the Arrowhead Golf Club for their NYE wedding ceremony.
The Arrowhead Golf Club turned out to be the ideal location for Emma and Jake’s New Years Eve wedding celebrations. Its indoor space’s warm wood tones and soft lighting felt so inviting on this snowy winter day. This feeling wasn’t overpowering though, as Emma and Jake were able to decorate the space as they wanted, giving their wedding that glam NYE feel during their reception. The ceremony itself was stunning, with the massive string light wall being the perfect backdrop for Emma and Jake to share their vows with one another. After lighting the unity candle, the two said their “I Do’s” before officially becoming newlyweds! Now the only thing left was a night of celebrating to end the year in style!
Their indoor reception is where Emma and Jake brought out the glam in full force for their New Year’s Eve wedding! There was an abundance of disco themed décor all around the reception space, and the energy was on another level throughout the entire reception. The two even planned a bit of an Irish Wedding tie in with a quick dance number from a group of Irish Dancers! After some fantastic speeches and a few first dances it was time to open up the dance floor for everyone, and when I say everyone I mean it! This has to be one of THE most packed dance floors I’ve ever been on, and boy was it fun! Talk about a perfect way to end a wedding day and the year!
I wish I could wind back time to relive Emma and Jake’s New Years Eve wedding over and over again! Their wedding was such a vibe, and while I can’t turn back the clock on their day, I can relive it through their photos with you all here which is good enough!
