Outdoor Spring Wedding in Naperville, Illinois | Laura and Miles

One of the best parts about living in the Midwest is that our wedding season starts in the spring, leading to incredible days such as this! Laura and Miles had THE perfect day this past May for their wedding celebration in Naperville, Illinois. From the classic ceremony at the Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church, to an evening of partying under a string lit tent, their day was the epitome of spring wedding vibes!

The magic of Laura and Miles’ wedding day was apparent from the very beginning! My coverage of their wedding began with their immaculate ceremony at the Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Naperville, Illinois. This stunning church was the prime setting for the classic style of Laura and Miles’ wedding. You could feel the love and excitement in the air, not only from Laura and Miles, but also emanating from their loved ones in attendance as well! That excitement would soon bubble over, as once Laura and Miles’ ceremony was over they were met with an eruption of cheers and congratulations as they exited the church! It was SUCH a lovely moment, and it led to some of my favorite photos from the day!

We only had about 20 minutes for newlywed portraits on the DuPage River in Naperville, Illinois as Laura and Miles were eager to get to their wedding reception. We used that time to the fullest though, and actually were able to make some real magic happen, partly thanks to the vibrant spring colors, but mostly thanks to Laura and Miles’ intense love for one another. After we had our fill of portraits in downtown Naperville it was then time to meet up with their guests and get the party started!

Receptions have always been my favorite part of the wedding day as there’s just SO much energy, love, and excitement that come together to create an endless stream of memorable moments. I love seeing my couples so fiercely present in the moment and enjoying themselves with their friends and family, and being able to document that for them is one of the MANY reasons that I love what I do!

As you can probably guess, Laura and Miles’ wedding reception in Naperville, Illinois was full of these special moments. From mingling at cocktail hour and an epic first dance introduction, to some hilarious speeches and an absolutely PACKED dance floor, there was just SO much to love about the evening! Oh, and how could I forget the two having THE BEST late night snack of a Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Bar?! The perfect sweet treat to end the sweetest day!
