Intimate Restaurant Wedding in Chicago | Dovile + Johnny

Dovile and Johnny’s intimate restaurant wedding day in Chicago was seriously a dream.  Their wedding took place at Osteria Via Stato in Chicago’s River North neighborhood and was the perfect venue for their intimate wedding day. Between the romantic Italian wine cellar vibes of the venue and all the emotion from both Dovile and Johnny as well as their guests this wedding was incredible to be a part of!

Getting Ready and Their First Look

We started their day with details at Hotel 21C Chicago in the beautiful River North in Chicago. Their wedding day details were kept simple yet elegant, one of my favorites being Johnny’s “D” and “J” cufflinks. Small things like this add such a personal feel to your wedding day which I’m always a fan of! After a tearful and sweet first look, we walked down to Michigan Ave and the Wrigley Building where they also did their engagement photos last year!  We had the best time walking around in their city on this beautiful day, and then after a few more portraits, we made our way to the restaurant to get their intimate wedding ceremony underway.

Their Intimate Restaurant Wedding Ceremony and Reception

Then, after their wedding portraits throughout Chicago, we made our way to their intimate wedding venue. Osteria Via Stato is a gorgeous restaurant in Chicago’s River North neighborhood that makes for the perfect intimate wedding venue. The Italian wine cellar style and feel creates such a romantic setting for a wedding, it’s as the Italians say, bellissima! Dovile and Johnny’s ceremony was just as beautiful as their venue and seeing all their closest people there to celebrate them and their love made it just that much more emotional. Once the two said I do and had their family photos done it was time to start the reception!

For their reception Dovile’s family provided some Lithuanian traditions, and then Johnny surprised his dad with his wedding ring that was designed to look just like his father’s, and he showed his parents right after they were introduced.  It was one of the sweetest moments of the entire day. The newlyweds shared an intimate first dance together, cut their cake, and heard some incredible speeches before their family PACKED the restaurant wedding venue’s dance floor. The rest of the night was full of laughs, smiles, and everyone dancing the night away together!

I love every single moment from Dovile and Johnny’s intimate restaurant wedding day in Chicago. Everything from the little details to the beautiful grand moments was perfect and exactly how Dovile and Johnny envisioned it. I’m SO happy to have been a part of their wedding day!
