Black Tie Wedding in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin | Isabella and Nathan

As some of you may know, I do still make it up to Wisconsin for the occasional wedding. Isabella and Nathan’s black tie wedding in Lake Geneva is one such occasion, and let me just start out by saying how amazing this day was! There are SO many moments and details from their celebration that I love, it was honestly pretty difficult narrowing down the highlights for this article. I did it though, and now I’m beyond excited to have the chance to share them here with you all!

Getting Ready for Their Wedding in Lake Geneva

Isabella and Nathan’s wedding day began on location at their wedding venue in Lake Geneva. Part of the reason they chose the fabulous Destination Geneva National is so that they could spend their entire wedding day at the venue, which made their day flow incredibly smoothly. Isabella got ready in one of the venue’s gorgeous cottages with the help of her HMU Artists, her mother, and her and Nathan’s golden retriever Harley! Harley is a HUGE part of their lives, so having her involved in the getting ready process was a fabulous and fun touch for the day! Once Isabella was in her stunning wedding dress it was time for the first looks.

Up first was a first look with her father and brother, and WOW did the waterworks come on during this one! First looks are always such a magical part of any wedding day, and this moment between Isabella and her family really shows how much this day meant to everyone. Next was a first look between Isabella and her bridesmaids, and then it was Nathan’s turn. The energy between these two is just SO sweet and infectious, and it was on full display for this beautiful moment. After some couples portraits with Harley everyone headed outside for some portraits on the beautiful grounds of Destination Geneva National. These were a ton of fun, but before too long their ceremony time was upon us!

An Unforgettable Lakefront Wedding Ceremony

The outdoor ceremony space of Destination Geneva National is another area where the wedding venue really shines. Looking out over the nearby lake gives the setting a picturesque backdrop that is just gorgeous from EVERY angle! Soon the ceremony was underway, and after everyone else had made their entrance Isabella began making her way down the aisle. Nathan held it together pretty well during their first look, but seeing Isabella walk down the aisle is where he finally cracked! I’d be lying if I said he was the only one who teared up during this moment though. Everyone seemed just as overjoyed and excited for this moment between Isabella and Nathan. After some laughs courtesy of their officiant, and their ring bearer who decided he wanted to show off a lollipop to everyone, Isabella and Nathan shared their vows and were officially newlyweds!

Dancing the Night Away Inside Their Lake Geneva Wedding Venue

Cocktail hour took place immediately after the ceremony, and luckily for Isabella and Nathan they were actually able to enjoy most of it! Having gotten so many portrait photos done earlier, they only had family photos to knock out after their ceremony which left them with PLENTY of time to spend with their guests! Later on we’d make our way into Destination Geneva National’s indoor reception venue, which was a lovely space for Isabella and Nathan to celebrate with their wedding guests. Between the black and white dance floor to match their wedding colors, sweet and emotional first dances, amazing music courtesy of the Bluewater Kings Band whom I adore, and glow sticks with Harley’s face pasted on them, Isabella and Nathan’s reception was an all out party!

A love like Isabella and Nathan’s and a wedding venue like Destination Geneva National is probably the closest thing to a perfect match you could ever come across! I’m so glad I was able to document this wonderful day, and even more glad with how beautifully every part of Isabella and Nathan’s vision came together.
