My Wedding Roundup for 2024 as a Chicago Wedding Photographer

Towards the end of the year I always find myself reminiscing on everything that happened within the last 12 months. 2024 was an incredibly special year for me as a wedding photographer in Chicago as I got to document SO many wonderful celebrations with my couples. It’s made looking back on this year a bit bittersweet if I’m being honest! I’m insanely excited for 2025 and the beautiful, creative, and unique celebrations of love that I’ll get to be a part of, but it does make me just a little sad knowing that my 2024 season is officially over. That’s what’s made me want to put this article together though! One last celebration of the magical year that was 2024, and I’m so glad to have you here to relive it all with me!

2024 as a Chicago Wedding Photographer

I had the pleasure of working with 19 lovely couples throughout 2024, and I had SO much fun with every one of them! Getting to know my couples, their love story, and the unique vision of how they want to celebrate this amazing love they’ve found in one another made this year an unforgettable experience from start to finish. I was lucky enough to have weddings throughout every season of the year, so I’m going to be breaking this article down by season to keep things organized. It was nearly impossible trying to choose a single photo to represent each wedding and elopement, but I made it happen and I cannot wait to share them!

Spring

Ok, so my 2024 season actually started WAY before spring, as the year kicked off with an immediate bang thanks to Maya and Grant’s January wedding at The Stan Mansion! This was such an incredibly high note to start 2024 on, so it’s safe to say I was pretty excited for what was to come the rest of the year.

After Maya and Grant’s wedding I had a bit of a break until spring rolled around and that’s when things REALLY picked up! I had 5 weddings in the spring, the first being Jessica and Dalton’s gorgeous wedding at the Mavris Arts & Events Center in mid March. The next wedding on my schedule was a fun twist for me as a Chicago wedding photographer, and that’s because it was Shelby and Levi’s tropical destination wedding at the Secrets Akumal Resort in Cancun! Shortly after that was Natalia and Samuel’s timeless wedding at Fairlie Chicago in late April.

I then finished off the spring season with two awesome weddings in May! Laura and Miles were up first with their lovely backyard wedding out in the Chicago suburbs. Finally, to finish things off on the highest of notes was Lauren and Sean’s wedding at The Metropolitan, giving my spring season a true Chicago finale! The year felt like it was FLYING by already, but luckily I still had plenty of weddings left to enjoy and document through the year!

Summer

The summer of 2024 was an interesting stretch of my wedding season as it started off lightning fast, and then tapered off a little before ramping up again just before the fall! I had 4 absolutely wonderful weddings in June, and then a stunning wedding mid august as my final summer wedding!

Kicking things off June first was Halle and Steven’s non stop fun wedding at The Bridge Lemont! Even though I’m based in Chicago, I still get out into the burbs to photograph some weddings, and I’m lucky to be able to do so as it allows me to document amazing celebrations like this! Following this was another favorite of mine, Annie and Chaz’s breathtaking blue wedding at Walden Chicago! After that was a trip back to my old stomping grounds of Indiana, as I had Jessica and John’s sweet wedding at SMWC. As if that wasn’t enough adventure for the summer though, I had one more destination wedding on the northern tip of Wisconsin. That was Megan and Adam’s jaw dropping wedding at the Gordon Lodge in Door County, Wisconsin!

I had a break from weddings through July which was honestly pretty refreshing since June happened to be such a wild month this season! It didn’t take long though before I was itching to get back behind the lens for my couples’ weddings. By mid August I’d get my chance, and wow did I get to finish off the summer in style! Abby and James’ wedding at Sky on Nine was a classic and elegant celebration, and the perfect way to get back into the swing of things before the busiest season of all began!

Fall

This past fall was filled to the brim with amazing weddings and even more amazing couples, something I’m so lucky to call my norm as a Chicago wedding photographer! Starting things off strong were my four weddings of September, first of which was Alexis and Anthony’s dreamy wedding at Ashley Farm. The following weekend was Alison and Ryan’s romantic wedding in Frankfurt, Illinois at CD & ME. Next was another trip out to Indiana for Kennedy and Devon’s beautiful wedding day at The Landing on Division. To finish up the month of September I headed north to Lake Geneva, Wisconsin for Isabella and Nathan’s emotional black tie wedding at Destination Geneva National!

Fall was FAR from over though, as I still had 3 more wonderful weddings I was lucky enough to be a part of! The first two were in October, starting with Jess and Zach’s dreamy fall wedding at the Hyatt Regency in Schaumburg. The following week was Amanda and Eric’s lovely and personal wedding at Elements at Water Street in Naperville. My final fall wedding was a few weeks later in mid November, and it was quite the finale for this busy season! Olivia and Daniel had their wedding at the breathtaking venue The Sixpence in Boone County, Indiana, and I couldn’t imagine a more fitting way to end my fall 2024 season.

Winter

With that, only one more wedding was left for the year, my lone winter wedding of 2024! December 7th was the date for Madeline and Aaron’s wedding at the Hyatt Lodge in Oakbrook, and it was a fabulous date to end the year on. These two put together such a lovely celebration of their love for one another, and it was such a sweet day to end my wedding coverage for the year on!

I want to thank each and every couple that booked me this year to document their one of a kind love stories. You all are literally the reason I chose to be a Chicago wedding photographer in the first place, and without you this dream of mine wouldn’t be possible. I’m eternally grateful to have been a part of each and every one of your celebrations in 2024, and to all of my couples in 2025 I am BEYOND excited to be a part of your wedding days! If anyone reading would like to book me to document their wedding day I’d love to hear from you. Head to my contact page and send me an inquiry ASAP!
